Many people end up visiting this page with the question, where should I live in Beijing? There is no "right answer" to this question of course, but there are a few things to consider.
- If you have school age children, you may want to think about where they are going to go to school. You may want to check out the Beijing Schools section to see where the schools are.
- There is a (rich expatriate) property expert Li Hong who runs a website with some information on the high end residences in Beijing.
- Many technology businesses are in the Haidian/Wudaokou area, which is very far from the Chaoyang (more western/Embassy district) area, so if commute is an issue for you this is a factor to keep in mind. Consulting/Finance companies are typically in Chaoyang or CBD Area.
- Popular language Programs are typically in the Wudaokou area, including IUP and BCLU programs.
- More considerations... coming soon.
