You can get to Chongqing by Airport 重庆 (CKG). Chongqing is also a port and a popular start/end point for a Three Gorges Cruise.

We stayed at the Linjiang Hostel Chongqing. Cheap (139RMB/night) and clean. Hotels can be somewhat hard to find. Our taxi driver had trouble finding the place and we had to walk around. I reccommend printing out the business card and bringing it with you to help prevent confusion.

Do you remember the name of the "Culture Museum" again it escapes me. Emperor Yu's Palace Placard: Emperor Yu's Palace is important part of the Huguang Guild Hall (Highly reputed as a "Hero of Water Control" in the ancient times, Emperor Yu's name was Da Yu a household name among the Chinese people in both ancient and modern times. In the past as the Huguang area was often severely devastated by floods almost every year, the local people constructed the building where they held memorial ceremonies to worship Da Yu and pray for good weather for the crops and peaceful life for all the people here.

Ciqikou is the "Old Town" and has many cute stores and exhibits. You can take a taxi or a bus here. There is a ceramics exhibit, a cool old temple on the hill called the Bao Lun temple and a Boat Trackers exhibit which I do not reccomend visiting.

From the Ciqikou Placard: The Ancient Town of Ciqikou, the Local Culture Epitome Ciqikou is an ancient town built in song Dynasty A.D.898-1003, which flourished as an important commercial harbor in Ming Dynasty, and being named for producing fancy blue and white porcelain early in Qing Dynasty. Comprising the traditional culture, divers religions and ancient buildings. Ciqikou is the fountainhead where local culture originates from. The primitive and forthright customs generate the distinctive traditional culture here. Furthermore it has been handed down generation by generation. And there are different traditional handicrafts and several kinds of delicacies in the town. Besides, these Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism are compatible here, harmoniously. As architectural art museum, these various show typical traditional courtyards and teahouses full of ancient customs spread all over the town. Ciqikou was determined as a crucial historical area of protection in 1998 by the State Council of the People's Republic of China because of its invaluable and tangible culture heritage. Nowadays, local governments give every effort to preserve it and promote the economy development effectively for making it the local cultural epitome. Ciqikou welcomes tourists from all over the world.
