[edit] What to look for when looking for to buy insurance in china

• Direct billing relationship with hospitals that we want to go to
• Coverage overseas. This is a bit problematic. They usually have much higher rate if you want US coverage.
• Large yearly cap. Maybe 1 million dollar.
• High deductible in china.
• Proven track record that they will pay. I would hate to find out that they are too cheap to pay for bills when I am sick and in the hospital. Chinese insurers may have this problem.
• Samsung and LG are probably more reputable and chines ones.
