ICBC Visa Credit Card

Applying for an ICBC Visa (or American Express) personal liability credit card requires the following:

1. Filling out the Aplication Form (Chinese Only)PDF, though an English Translation PDF is available. Highly reccommended to fill this out beforehand.
2. Have a mobile phone number and address where they can send the credit card to.
3. Have a couple of contact people, in China, to be your contacts in case they cannot find you to collect your bill.

Your statement will only come in Chinese, and so its hard to tell what kind of fees they are charging, but you can reach their 24 hour English (sort of) line at +86-10-95588 to check your balance and cancel your card. By default you cannot make online purchaces using your ICBC credit card, you need to activate online purchacing by calling the +86-10-95588 number and they will do it for you.
