Shenzhen

Shenzhen, covering an area of 1984.69 square meters, is east to the Daya and Dapeng Bay, west to Pearl River, north to Dongguan and Huizhou and south to Hong Kong. It consists of 6 districts: Luohun,Futian,Nanshan,Yantian,Bao’an and Longgang, of which the last two are not located in the Special Zone.

Azalea is the the municipal flower of Shenzhen. In the city there are skyscrapers everywhere. There are fisherman wedding dance when fisherman hold weddings, dragon dance in the 2 nd day of Chinese New Year, dragon boat competition in Dragon Boat Festival. Whenever there are grand occasions, there are kylin dance and grand banquet.

Air

Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, located at Bao’an, the western part of Shenzhen, is the fourth largest national airport. Over 200 flights land in Shenzhen every day from all over the world. It only takes 30~45 minutes drive to downtown, about 32 kilometers away.

The air terminal is divided into 2 parts: A Zone and B Zone. Passengers can find boutiques, restaurants and bookstores while waiting for their flights.

Railway

Shenzhen Railway Station - No.1, Jianshe Road, Luohu District 86-755-82328647

The station is divided into two parts. The eastern building is near the subway to the bus and taxi stations. The western one leads to Heping Road.

The train between Shenzhen and Guangzhou is the best transportation between the two cities. It is divided into rapid and semi-rapid.

Highway

There are ten bus stations in Shenzhen, reaching out to cities in Guangdong Province and other provinces such as Fujian,Hunan,Hubei,Henan,Sichuan,Zhenjiang,Jinagsu,Anhui and Guizhou.Luohu Bus Station, the busiest one among all has got luxurious tourist buses going to and from Guangzhou.Buses depart every four minutes with tickets at RMB60 each. The whole trip takes about two hours.
